This is to let you know that I’ll be away for three weeks over Christmas.

The practice will close at 12 on Friday 23 December, and reopen at 9 on Monday 16 January.

If you need medical help during that time, you can go to the 24 Hour Surgery.

If you need a certificate or a repeat prescription, please do come in before Christmas.

It has been a very challenging year for all of us, and I hope you will be able to have a break, and a breather to regroup for the next year.

Next year, too, will be challenging for many, but hopefully not catastrophic like this year.

I hope that next year brings many silver linings after the earthquakes.

With the upheavals I’ve been even more sure that only special people come in to see me.

I have enjoyed the contact with you all.

I’ve also had lots of help from my family and friends, and am very grateful for that.

And thanks to Jill and the team at Answers, who have provided much help to me and many other businesses in Christchurch, even working from within the Red Zone for a period.

I was pleased to give away thousands of bottles of the Christchurch Relief Essence this year.

This is now available from my webpage, as are other Blended Essences and Practitioners kits.

There will be some changes for me next year, with the building at 177 Bealey Avenue having to be demolished.

I have already shifted my home to rented premises in Riccarton, near Hagley Park.

I plan to move my practice out before winter, as it is no longer possible to heat the house adequately.

I’m looking at merging with a group practice, and joining in a rebuild, but it is early days yet.

I will give you plenty of warning before I shift, and when you ring for an appointment we’ll check you know where to come.

So once again thank you for being a part of my practice, and I look forward to seeing you again next year.
